Solution Architect – SaaS & Azure Services

Role Overview

We are seeking a Solution Architect with strong SaaS and Azure architecture expertise to help design scalable, secure, and commercially viable customer solutions.


This role will act as a bridge between Product, Operations, Engineering, and Customers — translating business and product requirements into practical solution architectures and implementation approaches.


The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-level and low-level solution designs, supporting customer workshops, defining technical implementation approaches, contributing to effort estimations, and ensuring customer solutions align with platform capabilities and operational standards.


This is a customer-facing role requiring both strong technical architecture capability and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business and product requirements into scalable, supportable, and commercially viable solution architectures

  • Produce customer-facing High-Level Designs (HLDs) and internal Low-Level Designs (LLDs)

  • Design SaaS and cloud-based solutions aligned with security, scalability, and operational best practices

  • Define technical scope, assumptions, dependencies, implementation approaches, and risks

  • Support technical workshops, solution reviews, and customer discovery sessions 

  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure solution feasibility and alignment with platform capabilities

  • Design integrations between cloud platforms, customer environments, APIs, and third party systems

  • Contribute to implementation sizing, effort estimation, and delivery planning

  • Support commercial and delivery teams with technical validation, Statements of Work (SOWs), and solution scoping

  • Assist with customer onboarding and transition into operational delivery

  • Ensure designs align with security, retention, and operational requirements for regulated environments

  • Manage multiple customer solution designs concurrently

 

 

Skills & Experience (Essential)

 

  • Proven experience in a Solution Architect, Technical Consultant, Implementation Architect, or similar customer-facing technical role
  • Strong experience producing High-Level and Low-Level Design documentation
  • Strong Azure architecture experience within SaaS or managed service environments
  • Experience designing scalable multi-tenant cloud solutions
  • Understanding of cloud-native architectures, APIs, integrations, and data flows
  • Experience working with authentication and identity management technologies (Azure AD, SAML, OAuth2, IAM)
  • Understanding of secure SaaS architecture and API security principles
  • Experience with solution sizing, effort estimation, and implementation planning
  • Strong customer communication, workshop facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to balance customer requirements with operational, product, and commercial constraints
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams
  • Strong structured documentation and problem-solving skills

 

Skills & Experience (Desirable)

 

  • Experience with regulated communication, archiving, compliance, or data retention platforms
  • Exposure to financial services or regulated communications environments
  • Experience supporting technical pre-sales or complex customer onboarding
  • Familiarity with enterprise archiving, information governance, or large-scale retention architectures
  • Understanding of immutable storage, retention lifecycle management, or WORM storage concepts
  • Experience integrating enterprise communication or collaboration platforms
  • Exposure to structured service delivery or professional services models
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, or DevOps practices
  • Experience contributing to proposals, RFPs, or Statements of Work (SOWs)

Technical Knowledge

The ideal candidate should have experience or understanding of:

  • Microsoft Azure cloud services and architecture

  • SaaS and multi-tenant platform design

  • APIs, integrations, microservices, and event-driven architectures

  • Networking, authentication, and identity management

  • Cloud security and access control principles

  • SQL and NoSQL databases

  • Data lifecycle and retention architecture

  • Scalable storage and cloud infrastructure concepts

  • DevOps and CI/CD principles

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in one of the following or equivalent industry experience:

  • Computer Science

  • Software Engineering
  • Information Systems
  • Engineering
  • Or related technical disciplines
  • Certifications (Desirable)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • Google Professional Cloud Architect
  • TOGAF
  • Agile / Scrum certifications
  • ITIL Foundation
